Summer is just around the corner and I’ve been working on a minimalist, yet sophisticated closet. In today’s post, I’ll share my essentials for spring/summer 2020 so you can see that you don’t have to buy a ton of clothes to be chic or trendy! You can put together many different outfits with a few neutral pieces:
Blazer: This is by far my favorite piece of clothing in my closet. Adding a third piece to an outfit makes it instantly chic. You can pair it with denim shorts, pants, skirts, dresses…the sky is the limit! This is a piece that I’d splurge on a little because you can wear it during all seasons and the style is timeless!
White Blazer from Zara
Zara is my favorite store to buy blazers. The quality is good, the fitting is perfect and they have an affordable price compared to other brands. I’ve owned many blazers from them and I couldn’t recommend it more.
Denim Jacket: I told you guys before how I love to add a third piece to my outfits (The Third-Piece Rule). There’s nothing more perfect for summer than a denim jacket. You can use it for when it gets a cooler in the evening or just to tie around your waist to complement your look. This is another item that never goes out of style and can be worn through all seasons.
Basic T-shirt/top: Having two basic tops or t-shirts can give you many outfit options. I don’t splurge on t-shirts usually… I get mine at Target, Zara or Gap. They’re the perfect fit for me, the quality is good, and their color availability is always diverse.
Shift Dress: Shift Dresses are definitely a staple for spring/summer. It’s easy to dress it up or down by just changing a few accessories. You can wear it from the office to happy hour, from weekdays to date nights on the weekend, or for just doing a few errands around town. Since my style is more neutral, I always have a black and white shift dress on hand.
